Summer: Every 2nd Thursday, 7:30pm. Winter: Every 2nd Thursday, 2:00pm

Brighstone WI meets once a month on the second Thursday at 7.30pm in the summer. In the winter it is 2.00pm (January, February, March and November). We meet at the Wilberforce Hall, Brighstone, Isle of Wight.

Visitors are very welcome. If you're new to the village or on the Island on holiday please come for a visit, we'd love to see you. We have a meet and greet person at the door to look after visitors.

It has been said of the Brighstone WI format by a visitor "it was a lovely experience, a meeting run in the old-fashioned way" which was surprising as we do have a large screen, projected talks and sound. However, for the 11 meetings a year, we have a speaker or activity, approximately six competitions a year, a raffle and refreshments. Some business, arranged outings, craft mornings or afternoons, walks and a monthly lunch club visiting venues around the Island for members to sign up to. Our annual programme runs January to December and we often have a garden party in August.

We have one of two coffee mornings a year or we might have an open meeting, to raise money for our chosen charity. We are also involved in other village activities where possible.

Our aim is to provide an interesting and varied programme which allows our members to enjoy each other's company, catch up, chat and laugh. What do we get from our WI? Above all, a welcome, learning new things, meeting new friends, helping others and FUN!

Disabled Access: There is ramp access to the hall and a disabled person's toilet.
