I joined the W I in 1974 as a young mother who had just moved to a new village in Lincolnshire not knowing anyone. Years later we moved to Devon where I joined Dartmouth W I.

I moved to the island in 2016 and immediately joined Rookley W I. That same year, I became an archivist for the federation. In 2017, I was co-opted onto the board of trustees, two positions that I very much enjoy.

Prior to moving to the Island, I lived in south-west France. I miss France, the weather, the food, the wine, and the wide-open spaces. However, I love being back and a member of the W I again. It is my passion and takes up most of my time.  When I do have some spare time, I am an avid reader, I enjoy crafts and I love to travel.
